Dr. Mayra Urbieta

Mayra Urbieta is a highly trained and skilled periodontist, who performs all surgical aspects of implant dentistry and periodontics.

Dr Urbieta graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelors in Science in Health Studies and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree with honors from Boston University. She also earned a certificate for an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency from the University of Florida, and she completed three years of specialty training in Periodontics at Nova Southeastern University in South Florida. During her residency, Dr. Urbieta held the position of clinical teacher for dental students at Nova Southeastern College of Dental Medicine. She has lectured for the Florida Academy of Periodontists and has presented her research studies at the American Dental Association meetings and the Miami Dental Association meeting.

Dr. Urbieta has been trained by some of the country’s leading implant and periodontal specialists. She is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), the Academy of Osseointegration (AO), the California Society of Periodontists, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Orange County Dental Society.

Dr. Urbieta is originally from Miami, FL, but she currently resides in Newport Beach, with her husband and her furry family of pets.

Dr. Urbieta truly believes that trusting relationships with her patients are built on a foundation of integrity and experience, and she bases her practice on this belief, understanding that she treats people, not teeth.
